Augustinian Orders
The Augustinian Orders are religious communities within the Catholic Church that follow the Rule of St. Augustine, a set of guidelines established by St. Augustine of Hippo in the 5th century. These orders emphasize communal living, prayer, and service, focusing on the pursuit of a deeper relationship with God through community life.
There are several branches of Augustinian Orders, including the Order of St. Augustine (OSA) and the Augustinian Recollects. Members of these orders engage in various ministries, such as education, pastoral work, and social justice, while striving to live out the values of humility, charity, and unity as outlined in their rule.
