Audouin's gull
The Audouin's gull (Larus audouinii) is a medium-sized seabird found primarily in the Mediterranean Sea and along the Atlantic coasts of North Africa. It is characterized by its slender body, gray wings, and distinctive dark red bill with a black tip. This gull typically breeds on islands and coastal areas, often nesting in colonies.
Audouin's gull primarily feeds on fish and marine invertebrates, using its agility to catch prey. The species has experienced population declines due to habitat loss and human disturbance, leading to conservation efforts aimed at protecting its breeding sites and ensuring its survival in the wild.
