Atago-Class
The Atago-Class is a series of guided-missile destroyers used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Designed for multi-role capabilities, these ships are equipped with advanced radar and weapon systems, allowing them to engage in air defense, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare.
Commissioned in the early 2000s, the Atago-Class features a stealthy design and enhanced survivability. Each ship is armed with the Aegis Combat System, which integrates various sensors and weapons, making them effective in modern naval operations. The class includes two ships: JS Atago and JS Ashigara.
