Astute-class
The Astute-class is a series of nuclear-powered submarines used by the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom. Designed for a variety of missions, these submarines are equipped with advanced technology, including sophisticated sonar systems and weapons capabilities. They are primarily intended for anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, and land attack.
Each Astute-class submarine can carry up to 38 Tomahawk cruise missiles and is designed to operate stealthily in various environments. The class features a streamlined hull for improved hydrodynamics and reduced noise, enhancing its ability to evade detection. The first submarine of this class, HMS Astute, was commissioned in 2010.
