AstroSat
AstroSat is India's first dedicated multi-wavelength space observatory, launched on September 28, 2015. It is designed to observe celestial sources in various wavelengths, including ultraviolet, optical, and X-rays. This capability allows scientists to study a wide range of astronomical phenomena, such as black holes, neutron stars, and supernovae.
The mission is managed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and it carries several scientific instruments developed by Indian institutions. By providing valuable data, AstroSat contributes to our understanding of the universe and enhances global astronomical research efforts.
