Asian Volleyball Confederation
The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) is the governing body for volleyball in Asia. Established in 1958, it oversees the organization and promotion of volleyball and beach volleyball competitions across the continent. The AVC is responsible for setting rules, organizing tournaments, and developing the sport at all levels in its member countries.
The confederation comprises various national volleyball federations from Asian countries, working together to enhance the sport's popularity and competitiveness. The AVC also collaborates with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) to ensure that Asian teams can participate in international events, including the Olympics and World Championships.
