Asian Basketball Confederation
The Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC) is the governing body for basketball in Asia. Established in 1954, it oversees the organization and promotion of basketball competitions across the continent, including the prestigious FIBA Asia Cup. The ABC aims to develop the sport at all levels, from grassroots to professional leagues.
The confederation is responsible for setting rules, organizing tournaments, and supporting national basketball federations in their efforts to grow the game. It works closely with FIBA, the international basketball federation, to ensure that Asian teams can compete effectively on the global stage.
