Ascension Island
Ascension Island is a remote volcanic island located in the South Atlantic Ocean, approximately halfway between Africa and South America. It is part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. The island covers about 88 square kilometers and features a rugged landscape with volcanic peaks and a unique ecosystem.
