Armenian Parliament
The Armenian Parliament, officially known as the National Assembly of Armenia, is the legislative body of the Republic of Armenia. It is responsible for making laws, approving the budget, and overseeing the government. The Parliament consists of 132 members who are elected for a term of five years.
The Parliament meets in the capital city, Yerevan, and operates in a unicameral system, meaning there is only one legislative chamber. The President of Armenia, currently Vahagn Khachaturyan, plays a role in the legislative process, including the ability to veto laws passed by the Parliament.
