Arihant-class
The Arihant-class is a series of nuclear-powered submarines developed by India. These submarines are designed to enhance India's strategic capabilities and are equipped with advanced stealth features, enabling them to operate undetected. The first submarine of this class, INS Arihant, was commissioned in 2016 and is part of India's broader initiative to establish a credible nuclear deterrent.
Each Arihant-class submarine can carry a variety of ballistic missiles, including the K-15 and K-4 missiles, which are capable of striking targets at significant distances. The class represents a significant advancement in India's naval technology and contributes to the country's defense strategy in the Indian Ocean region.
