Argonath
Argonath is a fictional landmark from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, specifically featured in the novel The Lord of the Rings. It consists of two massive stone statues of ancient kings, Isildur and AnĂ¡rion, standing on either side of the river Anduin. These statues serve as a monumental gateway to the realm of Gondor.
The Argonath is located at the northern border of Gondor and symbolizes the strength and heritage of the kingdom. In the story, it is a significant point of passage for the characters as they journey down the river, representing both a physical and metaphorical entry into the heart of Gondor.
