Arctic Redpoll
The Arctic Redpoll is a small songbird found primarily in the Arctic regions of North America and Eurasia. It is known for its distinctive red cap and streaked brown plumage. These birds are often seen in flocks, foraging for seeds, particularly from birch and willow trees.
During the winter months, the Arctic Redpoll migrates southward in search of food. They are well-adapted to cold climates, with a thick layer of feathers that provides insulation. Their cheerful, twittering calls can often be heard as they flit about in search of food and shelter.
