Archbishop Francis Patrick Keough
Archbishop Francis Patrick Keough was an American Roman Catholic bishop born on March 3, 1885, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was ordained a priest in 1910 and later became the first Archbishop of Baltimore after its elevation to an archdiocese in 1960. Keough was known for his commitment to education and social justice within the church.
Throughout his tenure, Archbishop Keough worked to improve the Catholic education system and was involved in various community initiatives. He served as a bishop for over three decades, contributing significantly to the growth of the Catholic Church in the region until his retirement in 1971. He passed away on December 22, 1971.
