Arc Lighting
Arc lighting is a type of electric light that produces illumination by creating an arc of electricity between two electrodes. This arc generates a bright light, making it useful for outdoor lighting and large spaces. The technology was first developed in the early 19th century and was one of the first forms of electric lighting.
The light produced by arc lamps is intense and can be seen from a distance, which is why they were commonly used in streetlights and theaters. Although they have largely been replaced by more efficient lighting options like LEDs, arc lights are still appreciated for their historical significance and unique aesthetic.
