Appraisal Methods
Appraisal methods are techniques used to determine the value of an asset, property, or business. Common methods include the cost approach, which assesses the cost to replace or reproduce the asset, and the sales comparison approach, which compares similar assets that have recently sold to estimate value.
Another widely used method is the income approach, which evaluates the potential income generated by the asset, often used for investment properties. Each method has its strengths and is chosen based on the type of asset and the purpose of the appraisal, ensuring a fair and accurate valuation.
