Appeal Court
An Appeal Court is a higher court that reviews decisions made by lower courts, such as trial courts. Its main purpose is to ensure that the law was applied correctly and that legal procedures were followed. If a party believes that a mistake was made in their case, they can appeal to this court for a review.
The Appeal Court does not conduct new trials or hear new evidence. Instead, it examines the records from the original trial and listens to arguments from both sides. The court then decides whether to uphold, reverse, or modify the lower court's decision.
