Apollo 11 command module
The Apollo 11 command module, named Columbia, was the spacecraft that carried astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to the Moon in July 1969. It served as the main living and working space for the crew during their mission, providing life support and navigation systems essential for their journey.
The command module was designed to re-enter Earth's atmosphere and safely return the astronauts home. It was equipped with advanced technology for its time, including a guidance computer and various instruments for communication and control. After completing its mission, the command module splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on July 24, 1969.
