Ante Pavelić
Ante Pavelić was a Croatian politician and lawyer, best known for his role as the leader of the Ustaše, a fascist organization that governed the Independent State of Croatia during World War II. He served as the Prime Minister and was responsible for implementing policies that led to the persecution of Serbs, Jews, and Roma people in the region.
After the war, Pavelić fled to Argentina, where he lived in exile until his death in 1959. His regime is remembered for its brutal tactics and collaboration with the Axis powers, leaving a controversial legacy in Croatian history.
