Ant Behavior
Ants are social insects that live in colonies, which can range from a few dozen to millions of individuals. They communicate and work together to find food, build nests, and care for their young. Ants use pheromones, chemical signals, to mark trails and alert others to danger or food sources.
Different species of ants exhibit various behaviors, such as foraging, nesting, and defending their territory. Some ants, like leafcutter ants, cultivate fungi as a food source, while others, like fire ants, are known for their aggressive defense mechanisms. Their complex social structure and division of labor contribute to their success as a species.
