Anne Stine Ingstad
Anne Stine Ingstad was a Norwegian archaeologist born on January 8, 1918. She is best known for her significant contributions to the discovery of the Viking settlement at L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada. Alongside her husband, Helge Ingstad, she played a crucial role in excavating the site, which provided evidence of Norse exploration in North America around the year 1000.
