Annapolis Basin
The Annapolis Basin is a large, shallow inlet located in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is part of the larger Bay of Fundy and is known for its significant tidal range, which can exceed 15 meters. The basin is surrounded by several communities, including the town of Annapolis Royal, and is an important area for fishing and aquaculture.
The basin is also rich in history, with evidence of Mi'kmaq habitation dating back thousands of years. European settlers arrived in the 17th century, and the area played a role in various historical events, including the Acadian expulsion. Today, the Annapolis Basin is a popular destination for outdoor activities and tourism.
