Anna Bligh
Anna Bligh is an Australian politician who served as the 37th Premier of Queensland from 2007 to 2012. She was the first woman to hold this position in the state. Bligh is a member of the Australian Labor Party and represented the South Brisbane electorate in the Queensland Parliament.
Before becoming Premier, Bligh held various ministerial roles, including Minister for Education and Minister for Communities. During her time in office, she focused on issues such as education, health, and disaster recovery, particularly following the devastating 2011 Queensland floods. After leaving politics, she has been involved in various community and business initiatives.
