Animal CPR
Animal CPR is a life-saving technique used to revive pets that have stopped breathing or whose hearts have ceased to beat. It involves a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths tailored to the size and species of the animal. Knowing the correct method can make a significant difference in an emergency situation.
To perform Animal CPR, first check for responsiveness and breathing. If the animal is unresponsive and not breathing, begin with chest compressions at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute. After every 30 compressions, give 2 rescue breaths. Always seek veterinary assistance immediately after performing CPR.
