Angolan government
The Angolan government operates as a unitary presidential republic, where the President serves as both the head of state and government. The current political system is dominated by the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), which has been in power since the country gained independence from Portugal in 1975.
The government is structured into three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The National Assembly is the legislative body, responsible for making laws, while the judiciary interprets and applies these laws. The government focuses on economic development, infrastructure improvement, and social services for its citizens.
