Andrea del Verrocchio
Andrea del Verrocchio was an Italian sculptor, painter, and goldsmith born in 1435 in Florence. He is best known for his work during the Renaissance, a period marked by a revival of art and culture. Verrocchio trained many notable artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, who was his apprentice.
Verrocchio's most famous works include the bronze statue of David and the equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni.
