Andernach Geyser
The Andernach Geyser is located in Andernach, Germany, and is known as the highest cold-water geyser in the world. It erupts every 90 minutes, shooting water up to 60 meters (197 feet) into the air. The geyser is part of the Volcanic Eifel region, which is characterized by volcanic activity and unique geological features.
Visitors can learn about the geyser's formation and the science behind its eruptions at the nearby Geysir Andernach Visitor Center. The geyser's eruptions are caused by the buildup of carbon dioxide gas, which forces the water to the surface. This natural phenomenon attracts tourists and researchers alike.
