Analog Broadcast Signals
Analog broadcast signals are a type of transmission used to send audio and video content over the airwaves. These signals are continuous waves that vary in amplitude or frequency to represent sound and images. Traditional television and radio broadcasts, such as those from AM and FM radio stations, utilize analog signals to reach audiences without the need for internet or cable connections.
Unlike digital signals, which are made up of discrete values, analog signals can degrade over distance, leading to a loss in quality. This can result in static or fuzzy images on a television screen. Many countries have transitioned to digital broadcasting, which offers clearer sound and picture quality, but analog signals are still used in some areas for their simplicity and accessibility.
