American flags
The American flag, also known as the Stars and Stripes, is the national flag of the United States. It features thirteen horizontal stripes, seven red and six white, representing the original thirteen colonies. In the top left corner, there is a blue rectangle with fifty white stars, symbolizing the fifty states of the union.
The flag was officially adopted on June 14, 1777, and has undergone several changes as new states joined the union. The colors of the flag hold specific meanings: red symbolizes valor and bravery, white represents purity and innocence, and blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
