American Football Positions
In American football, each team has specific positions that play unique roles. The main positions include quarterback, who leads the offense and throws passes; running backs, who carry the ball; and wide receivers, who catch passes. On defense, key positions are linebackers, who tackle opponents, and cornerbacks, who cover receivers.
The offensive line protects the quarterback and creates paths for running backs. Special teams players, like kickers and punters, handle kickoffs and field goals. Each position requires different skills, making teamwork essential for success in the game.
