American Colonial Army
The American Colonial Army, also known as the Continental Army, was formed in 1775 during the American Revolutionary War. It was established by the thirteen colonies to fight against British rule and secure independence. The army was led by General George Washington, who played a crucial role in organizing and training the troops.
The Continental Army faced numerous challenges, including limited resources, lack of training, and internal divisions. Despite these obstacles, it achieved significant victories, such as the Battle of Yorktown in 1781, which ultimately led to the end of British control and the recognition of American independence.
