Alyattes
Alyattes was a king of Lydia, an ancient kingdom located in what is now western Turkey. He ruled from around 610 to 560 BCE and is known for his military campaigns and efforts to expand Lydia's territory. His reign marked a period of prosperity, and he is often credited with establishing the Lydian Empire's power in the region.
Alyattes is also recognized for his contributions to coinage, as Lydia is often considered the birthplace of coin money. His son, Croesus, succeeded him and is famous for his wealth, further solidifying Lydia's influence in the ancient world.
