Altocumulus
Altocumulus clouds are a type of mid-level cloud that typically form between 2,000 and 7,000 meters (6,500 to 23,000 feet) in the atmosphere. They appear as white or gray patches, often resembling a layer of cotton balls or waves. These clouds can indicate a change in weather, often signaling that a storm may be approaching.
Altocumulus clouds are composed of water droplets and can sometimes contain ice crystals at higher altitudes. They often form in groups and can cover large areas of the sky. When seen in the morning, they may suggest a warm day ahead, while their presence in the afternoon can indicate potential thunderstorms later.
