Alternative Right
The "Alternative Right," often abbreviated as Alt-Right, is a loosely connected far-right movement that emerged in the United States in the early 2010s. It is characterized by its rejection of mainstream conservatism and its embrace of white nationalism, anti-immigration sentiments, and various forms of identity politics. The movement gained visibility through online platforms and social media, where it shares its ideas and rallies support.
Members of the Alt-Right often use memes and internet culture to promote their views, which can include opposition to political correctness and multiculturalism. Prominent figures associated with the movement include Richard Spencer and Milo Yiannopoulos. The Alt-Right has been criticized for its extremist views and has been linked to various incidents of hate speech and violence.
