Altar Servers
Altar servers are young members of a church community who assist the clergy during religious services, particularly in the Catholic Church. Their responsibilities include carrying items like the cross, candles, and the Gospel book, as well as helping with the preparation of the altar for the Eucharist.
Typically, altar servers are children or teenagers, often starting around the age of 10. They receive training to understand their roles and the significance of the rituals they participate in. Serving at the altar helps them learn about their faith and encourages a sense of responsibility and community involvement.
