Altaic languages
The Altaic languages are a proposed language family that includes several languages spoken across Central Asia, Siberia, and parts of Eastern Europe. This group primarily consists of three major branches: Turkic, Mongolic, and Tungusic languages. Some linguists also include the Korean and Japanese languages in this family, although this is debated.
The classification of Altaic languages is controversial, with some scholars supporting the idea of a common origin, while others argue that similarities are due to language contact rather than a shared ancestry. Despite the debate, the languages share certain grammatical features and vocabulary, reflecting historical interactions among the cultures.
