Alpha Lyrae
Alpha Lyrae, commonly known as Vega, is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is located in the constellation Lyra. It is approximately 25 light-years away from Earth and is classified as a main-sequence star of spectral type A0V. Vega is about 2.5 times more massive than the Sun and has a surface temperature of around 9,600 Kelvin.
Vega has been an important star in various cultures and is often used as a reference point in astronomy. It is part of the Summer Triangle, a prominent asterism formed with Deneb and Altair. Vega is also known for its rapid rotation, completing a full spin in about 12.5 hours.
