Alpha Doradus
Alpha Doradus is a bright star located in the constellation Doradus, which is visible in the southern hemisphere. It is classified as a yellow supergiant and is one of the most luminous stars in our galaxy, with a brightness approximately 10,000 times that of the Sun.
This star is about 370 light-years away from Earth and has a surface temperature of around 5,800 Kelvin. Alpha Doradus is also known by its traditional name, Fornax, and plays a significant role in the navigation of the southern sky for astronomers and stargazers alike.
