Allgemeine SS
The Allgemeine SS, or General SS, was a major branch of the Schutzstaffel (SS) in Nazi Germany. Established in 1925, it served as the primary organization responsible for enforcing Nazi policies, including the persecution of Jews and other groups deemed undesirable. Members were involved in various activities, including intelligence gathering and maintaining public order.
The Allgemeine SS was distinct from the Waffen-SS, which was the armed wing that fought in World War II. The organization played a significant role in the implementation of the Holocaust and was known for its strict discipline and loyalty to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime.
