Alex Karras
Alex Karras was an American professional football player, actor, and television personality. Born on July 15, 1935, in Gary, Indiana, he played as a defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL) from 1958 to 1970. Karras was known for his strength and skill on the field, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections during his career.
After retiring from football, Karras transitioned to acting and became well-known for his role as Mongo in the film Blazing Saddles and as a co-star in the television series Webster. He also made appearances on various talk shows and sports programs, showcasing his charismatic personality. Karras passed away on October 10, 2012.
