Alecto
Alecto is one of the three Furies in ancient Greek mythology, known for her role as a goddess of vengeance. She is often depicted as a fearsome figure who punishes wrongdoers, particularly those who commit moral crimes. Alecto's name means "unceasing" or "unrelenting," reflecting her relentless pursuit of justice.
In addition to Alecto, her sisters are Megaera and Tisiphone, who also serve similar roles in avenging wrongs. Together, they represent the darker aspects of justice and retribution in Greek culture. Alecto's influence extends into literature and art, where she symbolizes the consequences of guilt and the inevitability of punishment.
