Albert Speer
Albert Speer was a German architect and politician who served as the Minister of Armaments and War Production in Nazi Germany during World War II. Born on March 19, 1905, he became known for his close association with Adolf Hitler and his role in the Nazi regime's war efforts. Speer was responsible for increasing armament production, which helped sustain the German military during the war.
After the war, Speer was tried at the Nuremberg Trials and sentenced to 20 years in prison for his involvement in the Nazi government. He later wrote several books, including his memoirs, where he reflected on his experiences and the moral implications of his actions during the Nazi era. Speer died on September 1, 1981.
