Albanian President
The Albanian President is the head of state of Albania, a country located in Southeast Europe. The president's role is largely ceremonial, with responsibilities including representing the nation, signing laws, and appointing the prime minister. The president is elected by the Assembly of Albania for a five-year term and can serve a maximum of two terms.
The current president, as of October 2023, is Bajram Begaj, who took office in July 2022. The president works alongside the Council of Ministers and the Assembly to ensure the functioning of the government and uphold the constitution.
