Alastair Cook
Alastair Cook is a former English cricketer who played as an opening batsman for the England national cricket team. He is known for his solid technique and ability to play long innings. Cook made his international debut in 2006 and went on to become one of England's most successful captains, leading the team from 2012 to 2016.
During his career, Cook scored over 15,000 runs in Test matches, making him one of the highest run-scorers in the format's history. He was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to cricket and retired from international cricket in 2018.
