Alan Hale Sr.
Alan Hale Sr. was an American actor born on April 10, 1892, in Los Angeles, California. He appeared in over 200 films during his career, which spanned from the silent film era into the 1950s. Hale was known for his roles in Westerns and adventure films, often portraying rugged characters.
He is perhaps best remembered for his role as the Skipper in the popular television series Gilligan's Island, which aired in the 1960s. Hale was also the son of actor Alan Hale Jr., continuing the family legacy in the entertainment industry. He passed away on January 22, 1950.
