Al-Khansa
Al-Khansa was a renowned Arab poet from the 7th century, celebrated for her poignant elegies, particularly those mourning her brothers. Born in Oman, she became a prominent figure in pre-Islamic and early Islamic literature, known for her powerful expressions of grief and loss.
Her poetry often reflects themes of love, loss, and the valor of her fallen kin. Al-Khansa's work has been preserved through history, making her one of the few female poets from that era whose voice continues to resonate in Arabic literature today.
