Akiva Schaffer is an American director, writer, and actor, best known for his work with the comedy group The Lonely Island. He was born on December 1, 1977, in Los Angeles, California. Schaffer gained fame for co-creating popular digital shorts for Saturday Night Live, including the viral hit "Lazy Sunday." In addition to his work on Saturday Night Live, Schaffer has directed feature films such as Hot Rod and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. He is known for his unique comedic style and collaboration with fellow Lonely Island members Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone.
