Ajit Pai
Ajit Pai is an American lawyer and former government official who served as the Chairman of the
Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) from January 2017 to January 2021. He was appointed by President
Donald Trump
and is known for his role in the repeal of
net neutrality
regulations, which aimed to ensure equal access to internet services. Before his tenure at the FCC, Pai worked in various roles within the federal government, including at the
Department of Justice
and the
National Telecommunications and Information Administration
