Air France Flight 4590 was a scheduled passenger flight from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. On July 25, 2000, the aircraft, a Concorde, crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in the deaths of all 109 people on board and four individuals on the ground.
The accident was caused by a tire blowout that led to a fuel tank rupture and subsequent fire. This incident marked the only fatal accident involving the Concorde, which was a supersonic passenger airliner known for its speed and luxury.
