Air & Space
"Air & Space" refers to the vast regions above Earth's surface, encompassing the atmosphere and outer space. The atmosphere is the layer of gases surrounding our planet, essential for life, while outer space begins at the Kármán line, about 100 kilometers above sea level. This area is largely a vacuum, containing celestial bodies like planets, stars, and galaxies.
Exploration of air and space has led to significant advancements in science and technology. Human flight began with hot air balloons in the 18th century, followed by the invention of airplanes. The space race in the 20th century culminated in the first human landing on the Moon in 1969.
