Ahmed al-Mansur
Ahmed al-Mansur was the Sultan of the Saadi Dynasty in Morocco from 1578 to 1603. He is best known for his military successes, particularly the victory over the Portuguese at the Battle of Alcácer Quibir in 1578, which solidified his power and expanded Moroccan territory.
Under al-Mansur's rule, Morocco experienced economic growth and cultural development. He invested in infrastructure, including the construction of the El Badi Palace in Marrakech, and promoted trade with European nations. His reign is often regarded as a golden age for the Saadi Dynasty.
